About Miami Beach Residents Directory

Miami Beach has no official book naming everyone who lives in the city. Useful evidence is divided among the Miami-Dade Property Appraiser, County Recorder, Elections Department, city permit files, and library collections. We organize those paths so a name, street, folio, or old address can be matched to the proper government office or historical shelf.

Why We Built This Reference

Printed resident directories faded, while the records behind them moved to separate custodians. Miami-Dade County keeps property, deed, court, and voter material. Miami Beach maintains permits, code cases, licenses, and local administrative records. MDPLS and the State Library preserve directories, censuses, maps, and archives. We bring the official search routes, office contacts, known coverage limits, and Florida access rules together for Miami Beach research.

What Is Available Here

  • Pages by angle: the street directory for address records, the city directory for historical volumes, and the resident lookup for one-person searches
  • The rolls and offices: assessor, recorder, elections office, court clerk, vital records, the library's local history collection
  • Walkthroughs: how to trace who lives on a street, how to read a directory entry, how to follow a household across the decades
  • Access rules: what Florida law opens, what stays confidential, and how to request an identifiable record that is not online

Limits on Our Role

This is a privately operated reference, not part of Miami Beach, Miami-Dade County, Florida, any court, or any library. These limits apply:

  • We cannot confirm whether a specific person currently lives in Miami Beach
  • We cannot pull, certify, or change any record on your behalf
  • We cannot add anyone to, or remove anyone from, any roll or database
  • We cannot give legal advice about a record or a dispute
  • We cannot promise that every coverage year, link, or office detail here is current at this moment

Only the custodian office can confirm, certify, or correct a record. Nothing found through this site may be used for credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions.
